OhioHealth Sports Medicine offers sports physicals to student-athletes of any middle schools, high schools, or school districts that partner with OhioHealth during May/June each year. These physicals are station-based physical exams administered by athletic trainers and fellowship-trained sports medicine team physicians. They are meant for athletes with relatively "clean" medical histories, and they are used to screen for and detect medical or physical conditions that may put the student athlete at risk for future problems.
Any athlete who is currently under the care of their primary care physician (PCP) for a medical condition/injury/illness, or those with previously diagnosed medical conditions/injuries/illnesses, especially cardiac conditions that might preclude or limit participation in sports, is advised to get the medical exam from their PCPs.
OhioHealth offers free sports physicals each spring to all Sports Medicine affiliated schools, including Madison Christian. See below for locations and dates:
Due to COVID-19 considerations and concerns, OhioHealth Sports Medicine is not hosting mass physicals in 2021. Our hope is to offer sports physicals again in the Spring of 2022. In the meantime, if your child needs a sports physical, please contact your primary care physician to schedule. If your child's PCP is unable to see your child for a sports physical at this time, please contact Amanda directly to help schedule a physical with an OhioHealth physician.

Is your Sports Physical about to expire? Sports physicals last one calendar year and must be completed annually to remain eligible for athletics. Be sure you stay current so you don't miss any tryouts, practices, or games!
